Just as the sun started to peek, you were the one holding me. Your arms around my body, our hands clasped together, our chest touching each other. I could hear you breathing as you sleep. I could smell the bitter sweet scent of alcohol. I could see the contours of your face as I memorize each line and each scar so I would never forget them all. I could only hold on to that image, that's all I could carry as I go on.
I know we were meant to be but I know we can never be. Life is not all about love, I wish that's just how it is. Different lives intertwine but repelling forces keep us apart. It's beyond our control, I know it isn't, but it's a choice.
